FERRIES

Mallorca has two ports intended for passenger traffic: the port of Palma, the main island, and the port of Alcúdia. Balearia and Transmediterranea are the direct ferry services that connect Palma de Mallorca with Barcelona, Valencia, and Denia (between 6 and 8 hours depending on the ferry); and to the other Balearic Islands of Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera. 

The city center is located approximately 4 kilometers from the passenger port. There are several options to reach the center:

Bus: line number 1.

Walk/bicycle: – 45 minutes walking – this is a pleasant route along a beautiful promenade.

City sightseeing: The tourist bus stops at the Maritime Station and allows you to explore the city with ease.

Taxis: in front of the Maritime Station there is a taxi rank. In addition to the regular service, customized excursions are also available.

There is a car hire company in the Maritime Station.

PORT OF ALCÚDIA

The Port of Alcúdia is located on the north coast of the island of Mallorca. From here, you can take ferries to Ciutadella, Menorca. The ferry service from Alcudia connects Mallorca to Menorca (Ciutadella).  In the high season, there is a ferry service to Toulon in the south of France (about 12 hours).

TOURIST OFFICES

The Tourist offices are the best way to get information about Mallorca. There is a central office on each island (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, and Formentera) and a complete network of municipal tourist offices in the tourist areas, some of which are only open during the high season.
