(RE)TREAT YOURSELFPhysical exercise, fresh air, sunshine, meeting like-minded people, having quiet time, hiking amidst breathtaking sceneries, learning about the Mediterranean culture, eating healthy home-cooked meals, detoxing, kick-starting or improving a yoga practice–sounds like making the most of your precious holidays, right? So come away on a special break – a yoga, hiking and wellness holiday.
Based in Paris in the winter and Majorca in the summer, Susanne Haegele shares her passion for yoga and her love of the Mediterranean with her students by taking them on week-ends and week-long retreats that bring peace and renewed energy to body and mind.
The hand-picked locations in Andalusia and Mallorca are quiet country houses immersed in nature, where you can truly disconnect from the outside world.
A typical day consists of hatha yoga sessions, guided meditations, healthy vegetarian meals, hikes through breathtaking sceneries, and massage sessions which contribute to restoring your inner balance. And if you ever feel like opting out and just listening to the breeze in the olive trees, that’s lovely, too. In July, Susanne will be the resident yoga teacher and massage therapist at the eco-friendly Posada de San Marcos in Alájar, a hidden gem in the unspoilt Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche (North of Seville).
In August and September she will return to the island of Majorca, and the Tramuntana mountains in particular, to offer retreats with fellow yoga teachers Claudia Hubberten and Lena Frey, as well as thai massage expert Andrea Peluffo.
Those stays are aimed at small groups of up to 12 people, and take place at Balitx d’Avall, a working farm nested between olive groves.
