Welcome to Mallorca

"Everything that the poet and the painter can dream of has been created by nature in this place”

George Sand – “A winter in Mallorca"

No words could better describe the beauty of Mallorca. Everything about this island catches the eye and captures the heart. Its crystal waters, breathtaking views and lavish landscape, bright colours, floral scents, mild climate, contrasts and charm keep inspiring artists from all over the world and luring international celebrities.

Beautiful nature, a rich historical and cultural legacy, world-class facilities and direct flights to all major European cities make Mallorca an ideal destination for bespoke holidays, short getaways, corporate travel, golf, sailing and water sports, relaxation, fun adventure, sport activities, film and production travel you name it.

You will find long, white sandy beaches, turquoise water coves, windmill-dotted plains and remote villages. There are idyllic locations, historical monuments, plenty of golf courses to choose from as well as a large number of first class marinas that house the biggest concentration of luxury yachts in the Mediterranean.

The facts.

Set against the backdrop of the deep blue Mediterranean, Mallorca is the largest island of the Balearic archipelago with 550 kilometres of coastline. Its highest point is Puig Major at 4,740 ft. Between the east end (Cape Capdepera) and the west end (Sant Elm), Mallorca is 59 miles wide, while the northernmost area (Cape Formentor) is 49 miles away from the southernmost one (Cape SesSalines). Mallorca offers a remarkable physiographic diversity. Two mountain ranges give shape the island’s structure: the Tramuntana mountain range to the northeast, and the Llevant mountain range to the southeast.

The Llevant marina completes Majorca’s group of physical lands. The total yearly average rainfall levels are 550 l/m2, although there are remarkable internal differences. The rainfall pattern is seasonal, and the dry season coincides with the warm season (summer). The weather is typically Mediterranean, with mild average temperatures of 16-18ºC (except high up in the mountain), high average temperatures of 30ºC during the summer and low temperatures of 6ºC on winter nights. Nevertheless, each year sees rises and drops of over 35º and under -2ºC.

The vegetation is characterised by a predominance of the pine trees, which have replaced the oak in the coldest spots. The almond tree predominates in uncultivated mountain terrain, while carob and olive trees flourish in cultivated areas.

Also is one of the few places in Europe which is green all year round, providing enjoyment for any taste, a modern and cosmopolitan ambiance and innumerable possibilities for an out-of the-ordinary travel experience.

What we love about it?

Basically, just about everything!

 Yachting and Sailing Paradise

Best of Mallorca

Mallorca is one of the most popular anchorages for yachts in the Mediterranean. Some of the better known marinas are Club de Mar in Palma, Real Club Nautico in Palma (both of which are patronised by the King of Spain when he is in residence) Puerto Portals, an upmarket port which has many designer boutiques and restaurants.

Port Adriano recently upgraded (to allow berthing of boats up to 200 m) and Alcudiamar up on the North East coast. The wonderful restaurants and trendy cafes along the water are a place to see and be seen. The terraces are crowded in summer and winter because the climate here is mild all year round.

Golfers' Paradise

alcanada golf

Golfers find much to love on Mallorca with mild winters and over twenty well-groomed golf courses to choose from. Many international tournaments take place here including the Mallorca Classic, where the best players on the European Tour come together. Mallorca’s golfcourses’ rules and etiquette are similar to most courses in Europe and enforce handicap limits of 28. Although you can go on most of the practice ranges without an official handicap, most clubs will require an official handicap certificate to play. Most courses have pro-shops onsite and buggy and club rental are usually available.

The body, the mind, the Mediterranean and much more

Mallorca offers much more than a typical Mediterranean holiday. A short flying distance from most European cities makes it an ideal destination for a short relaxing escape to re-energize mind and body.

Several state-of-the-art spa’s and wellness centres offer an extensive spa menu combining the best of Eastern and Western philosophies and practises.
A spa and beauty treatment, an afternoon of golf or sailing, a cruise on a luxury yacht ora helicopter tour can all be featured on the menu of a busy corporate program or production in Mallorca.
Tourists, corporate travellers, film and production companies don’t have to look any further for the perfect destination for their holiday, incentive trip or shooting location, Mallorca simply has it all!

Tipping culture

Mallorcans don’t usually tip, but tips are always welcome.

With such a cocktail of cultures and nationalities, you do not need to speak Mallorquin or Spanish to make yourself understood. English, German, or even Italian would do just fine on this cosmopolitan island.

Best time to visit

All year round you’ll find plenty of sunshine in Mallorca. However, if you hate the heat and the crowds, you’d better avoid making holiday plans for July and August. Personally, we prefer Mallorca in autumn, winter and spring when is mild, and peaceful.

Don’t miss out!

The local markets all over the island give you a real feel of rural Mallorquin life.
